PEACE FOR PROFIT with Larry King
A Documentary Film Series
Leith Eaton Productions

The Peace for Profit Series is a proposed ongoing series of documentaries that explore the economics of Peace. It is a vision of hope and triumph that gathers positive ideas on how peace can be profitable and takes action without judgment or condemnation. The ongoing series focuses on the big issues concerning government and also on the individual and the families where even the smallest efforts can bring about the greatest changes. There are many sources that are pointing out the problems with few focusing on peaceful solutions from the core of the problem and showing that everyone large and small is hurt in one way or another by hostility or by war. Peace for Profit is not anti anything, it is simply pro peace. Freedom cannot be obtained by pushing against one another.

Peace for Profit, Israel/Palestine is the first of the series. It was shot in Israel and Palestine and it is presently almost complete. It is filled with actual footage with bomb scares having taken place during the shoot and rich interviews that show how much in despair the people are and in contrast, showing how beautiful and valuable the area is and how desolate it is as a result of the conflict. It points out how much better the economy would be if the conflict seized to exist. It shows that there are three religions and only one God and how a peaceful coexistence between the three religions could be possible and how much better everyone would be if it did exist. If all religions could be satisfied with what it is that they hold in their heart, or a person within a religion could just speak with appreciation about what it is that they feel, without justifying what it is by pushing against others, then each religion, in all of its difference, could live peacefully. The Program is hosted by producer, Leith Eaton and in addition, Larry King (CNN) has become a part of this documentary series and he has done the opening and closing for the Peace for Profit Series. Peace for Profit is a new angle that is being embraced by many and in addition many other celebrities have also expressed an interest in getting involved in the documentary series. Peace for Profit, India/Pakistan is planned to be shot next and it is the successful continuation of this exciting series and the second documentary in the Peace for Profit Series. We are also making plans to do Peace for Profit, Cuba/US, Peace for Profit, China/Nepal and Peace for Profit, Africa in the series as well.

Purpose: The purpose of the documentaries is to convey the message of how peace can be profitable to individuals, groups, corporations, cities and countries. By presenting possible solutions to the human predicament where prosperity is being wasted, we hope to inspire the minds of the viewers, motivating them to work for peace in their own communities, in their own families and in themselves.

“There is no way to peace; peace is the way” wrote Richard Bach, author of the book "One" and the famous allegory, "Jonathon Livingston Seagull". It is now time for people to understand that generating experiences of peace is possible; that peace itself is a force of goodness that can attract persons of many varied beliefs and backgrounds to experience a peaceful coexistence. Imagine world peace. What would that feel like?

Mission: Creating well-marketed, profit-making one-hour to 90 minute documentaries on the subject of “Peace for Profit”. We are engaging the interests of many people when we show how peace in the world could be profitable by creating harmony among perspectives that appear on the surface to differ greatly. We aspire to inspire audience members to believe they can contribute their own efforts to the cause of world peace and in doing so, make a difference. Remembering the phrase, “Think globally. Act locally,” sets the stage for the future.

Method: Individuals and groups are interviewed. Considerable power for peace will be demonstrated through various individuals who will share their own accounts of problems and the stories of their desire for peace and the actions they have taken to accomplish that goal. We will show how those actions can be used for individual prosperity as community and national prosperity. Leith Eaton, as interviewer and narrator will weave the pieces together to demonstrate how world peace can be achieved by changing the perspectives. Interspersed throughout the documentary will be opportunities for the audience to feel the effect of peace, in the very moment.

Everyone wants peace. It is a universal goal. Mothers do not want their children to be killed in war. Sisters and brothers don't want to see their siblings killed in war. We will give them the ideas; the steps that can be taken, of how to coexist and to protect themselves and their families. We will demonstrate how peaceful creativity can be applied to many situations in life. The audience will relate to the simplicity and will feel that peace is an achievable, attainable goal as we lead them progressively to be enveloped by a very emotional experience. By the documentary film’s end, the audience should envision the resources of the world being spent on profitable, peaceful enterprises and solution-oriented thinking, instead of the opposite, with resources being spent on unrest and war.

Marketplace: An estimated millions of people in America alone are frustrated by the lost hope of peace in the past and they have worked for peace or on peace-related events. Even broader in the world-wide market is the need for a ray of hope for peace. These very people are the target market, and as they see the work, their word-of-mouth will bring along their friends and family and the circle of audience will grow. A publicity campaign could be designed to attract mothers, fathers, corporations, cities, countries and other groups and even the youth (idealistic teens and college students). They could be encouraged viewing by church groups, PTA’s, college campuses and other social organizations which will expand the audience. Anticipated sales and distribution of DVD’s will help to spread the awareness. With appropriate enclosures in the DVD packaging to invite internet communication (as well as other standard modes), this marketplace, once developed, could prove to be an outlet for all future related productions developed in the movement of peace awareness as well as to help to promote awareness of the World Federation of Nations Foundation, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that promotes world peace and global enlightenment. Foreign distribution on a territory-by-territory basis is also planned. Forty-five foreign markets are anticipated.

Peace for Profit, Israel/Palestine is directed by Matt Cimber. Veteran documentary film maker Matt Cinber has cultivated a broad range of expertise in film making in many different parts of the world. He has access to important places and people that will be invaluable to this and other projects. Time-line: Matt Cimber and Leith Eaton returned from the Middle East just as the conflict was breaking out between Israel and Lebanon in June of 2006. In addition another shoot was done in Israel in November 2006 for additional footage and interviews. Presently we have the Israel/Palestine segment almost complete. We plan to travel next to India; Delhi, Goa, Mumbai and Hyderabad and Pakistan; Islamabad and Kashmir with their cameraman for 11 days of shooting in different locations. A presentation tape is available for viewing.
